GLSL:
Our FULL FIELD (u13+) teams may play in the Goulbourn Lanark Soccer League. Our goal is to provide the best possible soccer experience for our players. Our teams will continue to be community based, where there are enough players. Every effort will be made to minimize travel.
General Information:
At this level there are not enough players to create a team in every community; some communities will be merged to create teams. In other cases, the number of registrants in a community may exceed the player limit; players over the limit are moved to their second choice team based on registration date, second choice community, and location. In an effort to achieve a competitive balance in the division the club reserves the right to decline a “first choice community” request if it may result in too many former Talons players playing in one community/team. Because registrations at this level will probably not support a viable stand-alone West Carleton Division, our teams will participate in the Goulbourn Lanark Soccer League (GLSL). WC teams play their home & away games on their normal WC fields when playing other WC teams and we will try to minimize travel when plaing GLSL teams from farther away. The Schedules and results for teams playing in the GLSL will be posted at www.glsl.ca
Coaches and Assistant Coaches:
IMPORTANT Note: we are always short of coaches at this age level, a situation that frequently causes the initial team and coach notifications to be delayed. Teams cannot start the season without a designated “Coach”. If you haven’t already, please consider signing up as a Coach or Assistant Coach. If you’re not sure, why not contact the Program Director. We look forward to another fun season!

Important Polices:
All players, parents and spectators are required to abide by the WCSC and GLSL Codes of Conduct as posted on their websites.
Jewellery: No item of jewellery of any sort will be allowed on the field of play, even if it is taped. This includes but is not limited to necklaces, rings, bracelets, earrings, leather or rubber bands or visible body piercings. Loose beaded hair is also not permitted unless tied back or covered by a net. This rule follows Law 4 issued by the Canadian Soccer Association and is in place to ensure the safety of everyone on the field. Please, DO NOT GET YOUR CHILD ANY PIERCING DURING THE SOCCER SEASON, THEY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PLAY WITH STUDS IN.
Refunds: Players notifying admin@wcsc.ca before May 10 will receive a full refund less a $25 administration fee. After May 10, the Club may provide a pro-rated refund if a player must cease playing for medical reasons. A doctor's statement may be required.
